This photo shoot was a large family shoot in Irvine. The scenery was really pretty and the Rodriguez Family was a lot of fun. This was a first lifestyle shoot for this family and my goal was to have them feel comfortable to capture natural movement & expressions as well as taking some classic family portraits. We did the traditional portraits which included mom & dad with kids, everyone as a group, just siblings, and everyone as a group together. So those pictures everyone is looking at camera and I just click away. Then I ask them now to look at each other, to smile, laugh, give a hug, just a big group snuggle. You always get a few chuckles when you do this and that’s my favorite part. To catch someone laughing or smiling so hard your eyes are closed. I love these kinds of photos. This is just a little sneak Peek of some of the pictures we took. Hope you enjoy them !
Fumi and Tomasi were married in the Provo City Center Temple on April 21, 2016. They had their wedding reception in Utah, and I was asked to take pictures of their reception/open house they were doing in CA. My main objective was to capture the candid emotions of the evening and the details of the reception. As well as take a few portraits of the happily married couple with their family and friends. I enjoyed following the couple around as they greeted their guests, and loved the genuine emotion of just happiness as guest greeted them with hugs and congratulations. Some details of the evening I absolutely loved were the cake toppers and cake, the Polaroid sign in book, the decorations, Taco Catering, and the dance moves on the dance floor. These are just some of the pictures taken and again I am so happy if anyone thinks of me to capture pictures on their special day. Enjoy!
First, I just want to say Thank you ! Thank you !! For everyone who thought of me this Fall to take family pictures of them. I look forward to this time of year to see past clients/friends and to see how they have grown and to document that. Some families on this post I have pictures of them before they had a family, and some where their kiddos have grown a foot or two. I have also made new friends and clients who had their first family session with me and I feel really blessed and thankful for that. Each one of these pictures makes me smile (: Maybe because I can see the fun that they are having, the love that is there, or the creative flare. I love them all !! Sending my love and thanks to all the beautiful people on this post.
As some of you may know I am starting a floral business and I want to use flowers in many ways. Yes you have your typical bouquet, boutonniere, corsage, and floral crown. Why not a live floral dress, or shoes, belt, hand bag, etc… This photo shoot is showing just that. To think outside the box with flowers, and use it as something you may want to add to your wedding dress, bridesmaid dress, prom, or for a special occasion. I am thankful for friends who think of me and send fun floral pins my way through pinterest. This is how the idea of making a floral dress started. I also want to thank this beautiful friend of mine who is modeling in these pictures Jennifer Chapman. Hair was done by Deb Collins and isn’t it so beautiful! We took pictures from Sunset to Sun Down. Taking in the lighting at sunset and the darkness as the sun was going down was such a beautiful process for me. Usually when it gets dark my photo sessions stop, but we just kept on going and I love the creative and artistic look the camera can give when searching for light. Hope you enjoy the look of a floral dress and think of me if you want to add a little floral to your look.
I always wondered what a sunrise beach shoot would look like and Sifredo and Jackie are so sweet to model for me. They are also getting married soon so this is kind of like a trash the dress shoot too. We met at 5:45 am and started shooting at 6:00 and the lighting was so beautiful. The sky had a cool tone to it and I loved it! Best part the beach was empty (: I really enjoyed this shoot because these pictures really just show how much they love eachother and they are such a sweet and fun couple.
Carlsbad flower fields is a huge rainbow field of flowers. It was my first time going there and it’s beautiful. I was taking pictures of one of my oldest friends Nicole and her sweet family . This family was so much fun to take pictures of. I loved capturing the candids of the kiddos in between the flowers beds and just the fun of that day. Looking forward to spending time with them again.
I love Spring ! It’s my favorite season and favorite time to take pictures. I love the wild flowers that are out that just cover the hills. There are a couple of spots during this time of year that I will go to for a photo session. Heaven’s Ranch is a new venue for me that I am so excited about. Their beautiful ranch is over 350 acres. For this shoot we just headed towards the flowers, swings, and horses. Basically I just followed the kids around after we took some pictures by the flowers. hee hee (: My beautiful models are my son Orion and one of his favorite friends Mia. Orion’s bow tie is from www.etsy.com/shop/GingerEdition . I love her shop and style so much. This bow tie is the perfect punch of color I needed for his ourfit. I love how she uses fun fabrics such as marvel, teenager mutant ninja turtles, star was, and more to make bow ties , ties, wallets, and purses.
Dominique is a senior in high school and I was so excited to do this senior shoot with her. She has a love for classic books so it was fun to incorporate that in our session. I love the trees and creek that were nearby her home. She is a sweetheart and I wish her all the best this senior year.
